Garry's Mod, PC - £2.99 delivered
Requires you to already own a Source engine game on steam from the following list:
Left 4 Dead
Half-Life 2
Half-Life 2: Episode 1
Half-Life 2: Episode 2
Half-life 2: Deathmatch
Team Fortress 2
Counter-Strike Source
Portal
Day of Defeat Source
Although how anyone would have a steam account and not own at least one of those is beyond me.

I'm one of those people without any of those games. I initially installed Steam for one purpose, and one purpose only: Audiosurf.
Wow, I hope you've played HL2 on another platform then, because it is excellent. Same goes for Portal. If not, I insist you pick them up next time they go on sale.
Oh, I fully intend to play them, it's just that I've only recently obtained the kind of hardware it takes to run them. Food tends to be more important.
Well I'll be sure to post any deals I see on those games then. You can get The Orange Box for a tenner using the GAME scam:

This game's hilarious, PC Gamer (UK) did a great article on it recently, it's in the issue with Napoleon and his crotch on the cover.
Not HL2: DM, or maybe only not if you got it by going to steampowered.com/nvidia or /ati_offer1a. At least that's what it says in the box on the garry's mod page. Until they added that restriction for mods, I always wondered if it would work if you got the free HL2: DM and then downloaded that free HL2 coop mod to play all of HL2's campaign for free.
Oh, and definitely listen to LewieP's recommendation for HL2 (and the episodes). I only played them at the start of this year (their reliance on steam meant I needed broadband available before being able to buy them), and they're still some of the best single-player FPSes. The Orange Box is worth getting, even if you're like me and aren't into TF2. Heck, portal alone makes an on-sale orange box totally worth it, and then add HL2 plus both episodes? Huge bargain.
Hmm, I got that list from the bit on the Garry's Mod page "Click here for a full list of games that meet this requirement" and HL2DM is on there.
Maybe the list is wrong, or maybe Steam tracks whether you paid for the game or not.
Yeah, and the text before that link says "Please note that Portal: First Slice and the bundled Half-Life 2: Deathmatch do not fulfill this requirement".
So I guess the "bundled" part means only if it was free, because they seem to have removed Portal First Slice from that search result, and I think I remember seeing it on that list back when the mod section first appeared. So presumably they would have removed HL2: DM from the search result too if it were always unable to fulfill the requirement. HL2: DM from the nvidia offer was enough to get steam to download and run any of the mods back when they first came out, but that was before the message started mentioning it and portal: first slice as excluded. But I have the orange box now, so I don't know if it still works.
If you shop in Tesco, have a look on the games shelves as they have the odd copy of Orange Box for £5
