Mirror's Edge, Dead Space + Mercenaries 2, PC - Free

Mirror's Edge, Dead Space + Mercenaries 2, PC - Free

Seems like there is a problem with EA Store at the minute. Add these three games to your basket, and it should come up free.

Mirror's Edge
Dead Space
Mercenaries 2: World in Flames

In my experimentation, I can find only these games that work, let me know if you find any more. Enjoy, the first two I can vouch for being excellent games.

I'd download and activate them as soon as possible, who knows if EA will revoke them.

Update: Just in case anyone from outside of the UK is trying this, it appears to be only working in the UK store.

Update2: Seems that the download for Mirror's Edge includes the soundtrack too.

That's pretty darn awesome. It gives you the serial numbers on the purchase complete screen, so even if they did revoke it, you'd still have a valid serial number anyway.

Yoink. I tried with other games. Didn't seem to work. Perhaps it only worked on the £15 games?

Thanks for this, saved me a wee bit

Thanks for this.

I tried swapping Mercenaries with Mass Effect (also on offer) but to no avail.

Very weird glitch.

If they eventually catch on to this, if you have 20 CokeZone.co.uk points, you can get a £10 off voucher code for the EA Store so you can get two of the 4.99 games gratis anyway.

Yeah, i'm in the UK and it worked a charm.

And one more "exploit the bug" tip...

Seriously, Lewis, you do a great job with giving information about low prices. But do you have to tell about illegal things as well ?

Yes, I know it's not illegal in itself, it's a mistake on their side, but come on, these 3 games for free ? It's not a bargain, it's stealing.

Does SavyGamer really needs such kind of informations ?

You're damned good at what you do!

@Gnoupi

I think I would be failing my job if I didn't pass this kind of info on. I understand if you don't want to use this kind of thing, but I think it is the correct thing to do to pass this stuff on to people.

You didn't you post this sooner? It's dead now :(

If this wasn't the EA store...I might feel bad.

it works, thx! i'm downloading the games but where i can find the serials? i just logged into download manager atm

Unfortunatley for EA they left themselves open to this. When an offer is made and transaction is complete neither party can really go back on it.

Its hardly the most honest thing I admit but its no different from mis-pricing or not setting up offer exceptions correctly.

As an update its not been fixed

The glitch is fixed now, but I did manage to seize the deal last night :D

Thank you for this information Savy.

Dammit, I wish I'd seen this when it was active. Oh well, maybe next time. Thanks for the tip anyway.

Got Mirror's Edge on the 360 a couple of weeks ago, but would have been nice to have the soundtrack.

Oh well.

Pretty scummy, just like how you force everyone through referral links rather than giving a choice if they wanna load up your pockets. Copy paste from HUKD must be lucrative.

LewieP said...

I don't force anyone to use referral links. I am open about the fact that I do so, and if you want you could just mouseover the link, and type in the retailers web site yourself.

Also, I do not just copy from hukd. If you look, I posted this way before anyone there did. I do find some deals from hukd, and there is often deals I post here then put up there, that's how the internet works.

What on earth are you on about Anonymous? LewieP has never hidden the fact that he uses referral links, and it's one of the few ways in which he can make this site worth his time to update.

Unless you're one of those people who feels entitled to free favours from everyone around them.
